When customers search for "web agency Casablanca" or "restaurant near me", Google first shows the businesses it considers most relevant nearby. Local SEO is about being part of those results. For an SME or a shop, it is often the most cost-effective way to win customers, provided the right foundations are in place.

Google Business Profile: the essential starting point

Your Google Business Profile is what appears on Google Maps and in the panel to the right of search results. It should be:

  • complete: precise category, opening hours, phone, website, service area;
  • consistent: name, address and phone number identical to those on your website and other online listings;
  • active: recent photos, regular posts, and replies to reviews, positive and negative alike.

A website built for local searches

One page per service, one keyword per page

Each key service deserves its own page, with a title and copy that naturally reflect what your customers type into Google: "e-commerce website development in Morocco", "ERP development in Casablanca". Two pages targeting the same search compete with each other; it is better to keep them clearly distinct.

Content written for visitors

Copy should answer your customers' real questions, without artificial keyword repetition. Google recognises useful content, and so do your visitors.

Your customers' languages

In Morocco, some customers search in French, others in Arabic, others in English. A well-structured multilingual site, with a right-to-left Arabic version, broadens your visibility without duplicating content.

Technical foundations

  • a fast website, especially on mobile;
  • a unique title tag and meta description for each page;
  • a sitemap submitted in Google Search Console;
  • structured data telling Google about your business, address and opening hours;
  • alt text on images.

Customer reviews: a decisive signal

Reviews influence both local rankings and visitors' decisions. Ask for them systematically after a successful job and reply to every one: a well-handled negative review often reassures more than it harms.

A long-term effort

Local SEO isn't fixed in a week. It is built through regular action: content, reviews, profile updates, ranking tracking. At Exisite, our SEO specialist builds these best practices into every website from the design stage and can provide monthly traffic and ranking reports. Let's talk about your visibility.
